Wash Your Hands Song

Wash Your Hands Song

“Wash Your Hands” Song

Happy fall! Time for colorful leaves, pretty pumpkins, cozy sweaters, and – OH NO! Germs! As we approach flu season, it is important to encourage healthy habits at home and at school – like hand washing!

Click HERE for a hand washing song written by our music therapist, to the tune of the “Spider-Man” theme song!

It can be hard for kids to remember all the steps of the hand washing routine, AND complete them thoroughly. Music is a great way to help kids learn and recall all the steps, and can provide a “musical timer” for spending enough time on each step!

Here are the lyrics so that you can sing along:

Wash your hands, wash your hands

Now it’s time to wash your hands

Turn on the water, get them wet

But they’re not clean just yet!

Oh now, it’s time to get the soap

Get the soap, get the soap

Now it’s time to get the soap

Scrub your hands, get them clean

Front and back and in-between

Oh now, it’s time to rinse your hands

Rinse your hands, rinse your hands

Now it’s time to rinse your hands

All the soap, get it off

Then you make the water stop

Oh now, it’s time to dry your hands

Dry your hands, dry your hands

Now it’s time to dry your hands

Paper towel, pull it down

Dry your hands round and round

Great job! Now you’ve washed your hands

Happy hand washing!
