We want to provide extra flexibility, and a convenient option to deliver your children the services they truly need. By making Project Play Therapy available outside of our clinics, your family has just that.
Our Teletherapy Services utilize live videoconferencing to connect our talented therapists with your child. Interactive white boards, online exercises and continued face to face engagement facilitate meaningful, productive sessions. It helps that most children in our community today grow up with technology and often prefer a fun, online environment with interactive and game-based activities.
Although relatively new to us at Project Play, online speech therapy, or telepractice, has been in use since the late 90’s; and has been recognized by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) since 2005.
In fact, online speech therapy has been found effective by over 50 published, peer-reviewed studies, beginning with a transformational paper by the Mayo Clinic in 1997. We are also confident in our personal feedback and results we have seen firsthand since we began piloting services in early 2018.
With just a computer, strong internet connection and a webcam with audio headset to participate; our clients are ready to take advantage of this highly convenient and effective therapy, with a dedicated supervisor to help you get started and finished each session. All software and HIPAA compliant considerations are taken seriously and handled by Project Play Therapy.
