Occupational Therapy Overview
Occupational Therapists are professionals that focus on achieving independence in all areas of their patients’ lives. Our evaluations assess sensory processing, fine motor skills, visual motor/perceptual skills, and activities of daily living. Our occupational therapists (OTR/L) focus on helping children with physical, sensory, or cognitive delays be as independent as possible in all facets of life. Common occupations that we work on with children are playtime, socialization, self-care, and various school-based activities while always targeting increasing functional independence, self-esteem and sense of accomplishment. Our therapy is evidence-based and results-driven, as we believe this is the foundation for valid interventions and facilitating probable outcomes. We use our professional expertise to assess interventions with our clients in conjunction with clinical research to produce individualized unique and measurable goals. All of our therapists and specialists have advanced Master and/or Doctorate degrees and are certified to perform occupational therapy.
