At Project Play Therapy (PPT), our job is to help others see and celebrate each child’s unique gifts. We open doors by fostering opportunities for growth and independence through play. We specialize in speech, occupational, physical, and ABA therapy in both school and clinic settings. In addition, we provide school psychological services, counseling, and music therapy.

RBT POSITIONS IN NASHVILLE:

Our Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) positions in Nashville and the surrounding areas are direct service positions at Project Play Therapy. Our focus is to facilitate quality service delivery for our clients under the direction of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The RBT is responsible for providing direct service hours to clients in the clinic, home, and school setting with support and supervision from a supervising BCBA. Specifically, they will assist in developing client skills across a variety of domains including challenging behavior reduction, play, communication, social skills,, daily living skills, among others. The candidate must be committed to positivity, flexibility, collaboration, and creativity. This position reports directly to a supervising BCBA.

Specific responsibilities of our RBT Jobs in TN include:

Service Delivery

  • Develop and strengthen relationships with our clients and their families to establish rapport and trust among all stakeholders
  • Provide quality service delivery to assigned clients as directed by the BCBA
  • Find creative ways to implement programmed targets with clients
  • Adapt therapeutic style to meet the needs of each client and their family
  • Communicate effectively with PPT employees and client stakeholders
  • Demonstrate willingness to learn best practices, inclusion, problem-solving, and proactive communication
  • Readily accept corrective feedback from the BCBA and adapt accordingly
  • Work within a team environment that values communication and collaboration
  • Foster good-will with clients and their families, in order to ensure client satisfaction

Operations

  • Communicate regularly with BCBA regarding issues that occur during therapy sessions
  • Collect accurate and consistent data during therapy sessions to inform treatment decisions and show client progress
  • Document sessions using our electronic medical records system, reviewed by the BCBA
  • Collaborate with all coworkers to embody shared organizational values

Candidate Qualifications for RBT Jobs at Project Play Therapy:

  • Can begin RBT certification process following the start date
  • Bachelor’s degree or in the process of bachelor’s degree
  • Ability to provide service in a way that promotes a culture of community, excellence, and efficiency
  • Willingness and ability to complete requirements to become a Registered Behavior Technician through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board during the first 3 months employment
  • Evidence of good written and oral language skills and strong organizational skills
  • Able to work both independently and in a team environment and receive feedback readily
  • At least 1 year of experience working with children
  • Clean driving record
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, sit on ground, run short distances, and move quickly.
